New Show at Fuel Cafe on NE Alberta!

December 3, 2012

hello all,

I have a new show up at Fule Cafe on NE Alberta Street, cross street 14th avenue, they are next door to Tin Shed. The pieces here are little larger than usual and have a veneer finished edge. they make for great gifts! plus 2 new originals that are so new i barely got them finished in time and have no photos :( i will try to stop by Fuel and take a pic sometime this week and update this post. as always you can leave cash or check with the staff there, it’s the same as buying directly from me. and work is still up through end of year at Utopia Cafe on SE Belmont and 33rd ave. if you are closer to the SE quadrant.

Happy Halloween Suckahz!

Moving right a long at the speed of life, my display came down yesterday at Bumblekiss, but never fear, if you live in the Beaumont-Wilshire area i will be back again in 2 months for January 2013. I am still up at Utopia Cafe and should be there until the New Year unless they get sick of me. I heard the Day of The Dead show at Guardino gallery looks great although I have not personally managed to get over there and lay eyes on it. Also, I am working on a custom piece via Etsy request and i am going to put some like items in my Etsy store. It is a large print, 24″x24″ which I had to outsource, and I am mounting it on a 2 inch thick wooden cradle frame with 1/4 inch thick acrylic sheet on top and the usual hand painted dot frame. So basically you can have a large piece that is thick and chunky like a gallery piece but for only $175. I will post photos of the finished piece soon. Until then here is an image of the print being used in the custom piece, enjoy!

October Bidness

October 12, 2012

I am well into October and only about a week away from my daughters birthday extravaganza throw down of all time. She turns 5. A bouncy house is involved. I have work up at Utopia Cafe at SE Belmont and 33rd ave although the display has changed since September as items sold and were replaced. I also have work up for the month of October at Bumblekiss Cafe were things are moving fast in their busy little cafe. Check out the Day of the Dead show at Guardino Gallery October 25th and the Little things show which will be up the day after Thanksgiving. I also recently refurbished my etsy store to include mounted, ready to hang prints in standard sizes of 8″x10″ and 8″x8″ that make great gifts! follow the link if you like

September Stuff ‘n’ Stuff

September 9, 2012

Goings on for September include: tons of mounted prints which are ready to hang at Cafe Utopia on SE Belmont, cross street 33rd avenue, across from Zupans and next door to Dicks Kitchen. That show is running for approximately 3 months so it will likely come down after Thanksgiving or if they aren’t too sick of me i may stick around until the gift buying season is over. I am also working on my Day of the Dead piece for Guardino Gallery’s group show and I am posting a rare pic of it in progress. I almost never post a piece unfinished but this bubble frame i found is too fun! I will also be a part of the Little Things Show at Guardino for Christmas again this year and I have work going up at Bumblekiss on NE Fremont in October but I will post more on that in a few weeks. Cheers for now!

update: here is the finished piece!

September Showiness

August 24, 2012

So that whole thing about being a more frequent blogger didn’t seem to work out. But I should be thankful, and am, for the many real life distractions. Lots of them leading to new art works. Here is a new original of the ghost forest near proposal rock on the Oregon coast. Little River and Cup and Saucer have been great through August however both of those shows come down tomorrow. Saturday, August 25th I will be hanging work at Utopia Cafe on SE Belmont and 33rd avenue after closing.
So for you Sunday brunchers, enjoy!

Mounted Prints available for $35-$75 depending on size

Show updates, p…

July 1, 2012

Show updates, people! So we are now in July, how did that happen so fast? June was a great month for sales so I thank you all! For the month of July I will be at Laurelhurst cafe through the first week and then I believe the next artist comes in. Cup and Saucer Mississippi location will have work through July as will Blacksheep Bakery. Also, new on this month’s list is Little River Cafe. I was there this winter during his slow months and still had a great time, so hopefully summer will be twice as much. Little River Cafe is on SW waterfront esplanade and it truly is a beautiful place to stroll and take in the scenery. Plenty of outdoor waterfront seating at casual picnic table style areas. Hope you can drop by and any of these locations will accept payments on site. Laurelhurst takes cards but all others accept cash or check on my behalf, just inquire with staff. Enjoy the gray muggy days, I know I will……

Yet Another Surprise! Work at Cup and Saucer Miss.

June 7, 2012

So I got another show this month, can you believe it? Cup and Saucer Mississippi location (near Rebuilding Center) now has 5 large original paintings and the smaller mounted prints that folks like you and me can actually afford coming soon. You can leave cash or check with staff for small works and take them that day but any large originals can be purchased at anytime but hang until end of show. I don’t have pics of the space yet and will update soon, but here is an image of one of the paintings in the show. Enjoy!Image

Impromptu Show at Oasis Cafe Pizza!

June 1, 2012

So I got lucky and recieved an email from the curator at Oasis Cafe Pizza located at Hawthorne Blvd and SE 37th Ave right across from the Baghdad Theatre. It’s mostly mounted prints but there are two originals there as well. I wasn’t able to get pics of the set but i included some files of images that are part og the show. I will be changing out the work as the month progresses and for this venue please contact me directly for sales, my number is on the labels and you can text me. Staff wil not handle sales. Show hangs through end of June 2012.

Some Shots of the Laurelhurst Cafe Show!

May 30, 2012

Here are some shots of the Laurelhurst show after I hung it last evening. This sweet little place is at the corner of NE 47th Ave. and E. Burnside. You may have seen it’s shiny aluminum exterior while coasting by. They are open from 7am until 8pm every day and Happy Hour is from 4pm until 8pm. Wow, this is one HH working class folk could actually make it to versus the more popular Portland HH of 3pm until 6pm. Buying from them is the same as buying from me and they allow you to use debit/credit cards here. Mounted prints, as always, are $35 and there are some originals that are $75 and two large pieces for $200. Hope you can make it by to check them and my work out!

Worth noting, they have a nice outdoor seating area for those days we actually have great weather :)
